NEW 2025-12-03 - Last message of the year

As we enter the final month before 2026, there’s personal and site-related news to share. On a personal note, I’m now the proud uncle of two children. On the website side, a new Year Summary page has been added.

This summary page includes:
  • The total number of items available on the site
  • The download counts for each category from each month
  • The top five most downloaded items in Games, Software, and Drivers
The Year Summary will be published annually each December.

You may notice that the table begins in March rather than January. This is because download tracking only started in March, so earlier data isn’t available. Additionally, no IP addresses are collected when items are downloaded. Each download is simply counted as +1 for that item, with no personal data stored.

Other updates:
  • The javascript game Guessing game is added to Web games
  • AbiWord and Virtualdub is added to Software
  • Singularity, Soldier of Fortune II and the Star Trek: Starfleet Command series is added to Game
  • New DLC has been added for Star Trek: Starfleet Command, Baldur's Gate II, Icewind Dale II, Ground Control II and Rise of Nations
I hope you like the changes and I wish you a happy new year.

2025-09-30 - Year filter added

In the last couple of months, not much has been done to the site besides adding new content.
The things that have changed are:
  • Filtering by year is now possible in the game list;
  • A problem has been resolved where users had difficulties navigating lists on older browsers like IE4 and below when a filter was applied.
Other updates:
  • New DLC has been added to Zoo Tycoon, Total Annihilation: Kingdoms, and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds;
  • New games have been added, including Anachronox, Elite Warriors: Vietnam, Jane’s USNF '97, Jane’s Fighters Anthology, Guitar Hero III, and a few more.
I hope you like the changes.

2025-08-05 - Offline Patcher Updated + Developer/Publisher Fixes

With summer in full swing, there are some changes and additions to the site that I'd like to share with you.

The offline patcher has been changed. Instead of opening a browser to update the game, you can now use an application to do so. With this method, it's no longer necessary to have a browser with ActiveX support which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't and the application works fine on modern versions of Windows.

I've updated the offline patcher for the following games:
  • FIFA 2004
  • NHL 2003
  • NHL 2004
  • Rise of Nations
In my last message, I mentioned that I had included the year, developer, and publisher details on the game pages. Shortly after, I noticed that names containing a grave accent caused issues. This is now fixed.

Other changes to the site include:
  • Microsoft IntelliPoint has been added to the Drivers section. It contains drivers for the Wheel Mouse, useful under Windows 95;
  • The JavaScript game Box-in has been added to the Web Games section;
  • Yahoo Messenger has been added to the Software section;
  • New games have been added, including: V8 Challenge, Heroes Chronicles, the Europa Universalis series, The Movies, and a few more.
I hope you enjoy the updates and have a great summer.

2025-06-25 - New Info Added to Game Pages

It has been a few months since the last update. This is mostly because there hasn't been much news to share, apart from a few new games. In the background, I've also been working on something that is now finished.

The game details page now includes:
  • The year the game was released;
  • The developer(s) of the game;
  • The publisher(s) of the game.
Please note that the publishers shown are those at the time of the game's original release. They may not be the current publishers. Also, the listed publishers and developers refer only to the PC version.

I hope you like the changes!

2025-04-29 - April Updates and Improvements

Over the past few months, several changes have been made to the site:
  • It is now possible to change the theme in Internet Explorer 5 and higher. However, I recommend enabling JavaScript in that theme, as there are issues I cannot resolve without it. In Internet Explorer 8, it is also recommended to use "Compatibility Mode" because the page may not display correctly otherwise;
  • In the "Drivers" section, the "Printer" filter has been replaced with "Gaming." This category now includes gamepads, joysticks, and other gaming accessories;
  • The website style has been updated for older browsers;
  • A new menu item called "Links" has been added, which contains other retro sites and projects.
Other updates to the site:
  • Centipede, Crusader Kings, World in Conflict, Sacred, Sacred 2, and several others have been added to the Games section;
  • Killer NIC, Roland RAP-10, Logitech G15, Logitech Wingman, and a few more have been added to the Drivers section.
I hope you like the updates and the new content added to the

2025-03-07 - Little update

In the last month, not much has been done to this site. I mostly added new games and software.
Things that have been happening on this site:
  • On older browsers like Internet Explorer 3 and 4, and Netscape Navigator, which use old.winretro.com, the site now adds 1 to downloads when downloading an item. The only downside is that when using Internet Explorer on Windows 3.1, you get more cookie acceptance messages. This is not only necessary to make the download work, but also to add 1 to the Downloads counter.
Other updates on this site:
  • The following games have been added: Witchaven series, Grand Prix Manager series, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and 3, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and a few more;
  • Windows XP has been added to software;
  • New software has been added to QuickTime Player and Windows Media Player.
I hope you like the changes and the things that have been added to the site. If you have any suggestions for things to look for, like Game DLC, tools, patches, or any software, let me know by using the contact form.

2025-01-23 - First message of the year

The new year has begun, and with it comes a new message.
  • The issue with the contact form has been resolved. I was not receiving any messages in my inbox. If you tried to contact me during that time, please resend your message. I apologize for the inconvenience;
  • I've added items to a new category called "Updates." This section mainly includes updates and service packs for Windows. There are currently only a few items, but it may grow in the future.
Other updates on the site:
  • Adaptec UDF Reader and Crystal Audio have been added to the "Drivers" section;
  • New games have been added, including: the Act of War series, Supreme Commander, Necrodome, Deer Hunter 2004 and 2005, Redneck Rampage, and a few others;
Hope you like the changes.
